I am an artist, activist and communications professional, with a personal commitment to using the arts for social good. In 2018, I was awarded ‘Young European of the Year’ award by the Schwarzkopf Foundation in recognition of my creative campaigning for European values. In 2019, I was awarded a ‘Democracy Needs Imagination’ grant by the European Cultural Foundation to complete a tour of the EU27, I’ve spoken and performed at events across Europe including Glastonbury and Open’er Festivals and at the European Parliament, the LSE, the National Justice Museum (UK) and Nikolaikirche Museum (Berlin). Since 2016, I’ve written, illustrated and self-published eight books and edited award-winning documentaries. My latest publication, ‘Brexiles’ features the portraits of 27 British expats living across the EU member states, which were awarded the ‘EU IDEA: Framing Brexit Visual Award’.

Statement:

I am really looking forward to working as a freelance communications producer for Axis to help them create opportunities and facilitate a network to promote and profile artists. I am particularly inspired by Axis’ dedication to social art initiatives, and I will focus on promoting diversity and inclusion in the arts.
