I set up as a visual artist and designer after completing my MA in Design, focusing on Fashion and Textiles back in 2015. Since then I have gradually specialised in healthcare and the promotion of wellbeing interiors. Over the years I have created bespoke murals, window manifestations, fabrics and wall coverings that sensitively complement the interior design of a building. I enjoy working with interior designers and architects, responding to their vision as well as that of the client.  Along side this work I have also been a teacher of Textiles Design for many years, but I would now like to allow myself more time to expand upon my practice.

Environmental issues are important to me and fundamental to address.    I would like to continue exploring best practice to being more ethical, yet still provide outcomes that promote wellbeing.  I am committed to find ways of developing my practice in this field and source the most appropriate substrates with the minimum impact on on our planet.

2021 - St Davids Hospice - Newport

A bespoke mural for the Day Hospice that reflects the local landscape.  The room is also used for Chemotherapy.  A collaboration with interior designer Elaine Lewis.

2020 - Severn Hospice - Shrewsbury

I designed an entrance mural for the new hospice. It extends around the offices and flows over windows. The design is based on the exterior setting of the new hospice. I also designed a feature wall for the Creative Therapy Room, which is based on a ‘potting shed’. In addition I designed a wide range of glazing manifastations, decorative glass screens and artwork.

2019 - Little Heath Care Home, Cadbury Heath, Bristol.

This project is for Brackley Investments and the architect is Roberts Limbrick Associates. I am working together with Anna Glasbrook to develop a feature window design to be sited at the main entrance. The brief dictates that the design should refect the history of Cadbury Heath, bringing in elements such as mining, the railway and the local landscape.

2019 - Macmillan - Property Bags.

As a spin off from the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Macmillan asked me to design and project manage the production of 3000 property bags. The bags are for the possessions of patients when they sadly pass away and are given to families instead of a standard issue plastic bag.

2019 - Thames Hospice, Windsor.

Thames Hospice is a new build project developed by KKE Architects. I designed a repeat wall covering in two colour ways for 32 bedrooms, together with glazing manifestations.

2019 - Gutherie Roberts Office, Malvern.

Feature wall design for a contemporary office based on the Malvern Hills, local flora and fauna.

2018 - St Peter’s Hospice, Bristol.

The project run by KKE Architects. I worked together with Elaine Lewis to create a range of murals that complemented the calm and stylish interior scheme. The murals were sited at the Patient Entrance of the new hospice, the Social Hub and the Day Hospice. They were designed with a range of ages in mind. I project managed the sampling, manufacture and installation of the murals. The end result was serene and unique.

2017 - Royal Glamorgan Hospital - The new Y Bwthyn NGS Macmillan specialist Palliative Care Unit.

I was asked by Willis Newson to apply for the above commission to design the main feature wall, which runs from the main reception down the central corridor and through into the family room. Though consultation with patients and staff, including range of workshops, I developed a range of designs based around the local landscape. I was reponsible for production and installation of the final designs, respecting the given timeline and budget.

2016 - Bristol Royal Infrmary Hospital Bereavements Suite.

I was commissioned by the Bristol Royal Infrmary Hospital to design, develop and project manage elements for the newly renovated Bereavement Suite. Working to a brief, I created a range of co-ordinating designs that worked across a range of soft furnishings, a blind and a light box. This was a sensitive project whereby colour, shape and tone played a vital role in creating a calming and reflective environment. The project's success was built from a partnership of ideas communicated between all parties involved. I was responsible for the production and manufacture of each of the textile component, and ensured the right processes, materials and quality was applied throughout the project.

2016 - Nina Campbell - wallcovering designs.

After completing my Masters in Fashion and Textiles, specialising in surface design in 2015, I was asked by the world renowned designer Nina Campbell to design a wall covering for her 2017 Coramandel Collection. Nina Campbell is a patron of Bath Spa University. I was fortunate to be approached by her at my Masters Degree Show and still keep in touch with her design studio today.
