We require a new Administrator to join our small team and become part of an exciting journey to create new digital first models supporting and enabling exchange with artists to help sustain their work. Deadline: 10am, 11 September 2019.

We are pleased to announce that Claire de Lune is our Artist of the Month for September. We talk to Claire about her ceramics and painting practice and what it was like to appear on BBC Two's 'Made in Great Britain' programe.

Shift Cardiff, Sull and RUG are three artist-led spaces located in the Capitol Shopping Centre in Cardiff. These spaces have been put into use through Axisweb's Vacant Space programme. In this film we talk to some of the people involved in running the spaces and find out how they're being used to profile artists' work.

Interdisciplinary artist and Axis Directory member Jo Fairfax has recently launched a new interactive art installation at Cromford Mills in Derbyshire. Jo’s work titled ‘Mr Arkwright’ is a water and cycle-powered drawing machine which takes inspiration from Sir Richard Arkwright’s early career as he started out his journey as entrepreneur, inventor and architect of the modern factory system.

New Art Highlights of the week includes Cliff Crawford, Jane Stobart, Alistair Woods and Ricky Romain.

In this month's Playlist we present a selection of videos that use touch to explore a range of different themes. Featuring: Claire Hope, Victoria Lucas, Anna Flemming and Ingrid Berthon-Moinen.

For #Five2Watch this week we've selected five projects that engage with the collections and their creation, featuring: Lorna Johnson, Emily Druiff, Judith Alder, Duncan Mountford and Stephen Livingstone

We have more copies of our Social Works?: Open for sale. Social Works?: Open speaks to the precariousness of socially engaged practice during an extended period of government-led cuts to arts funding across the UK, and the continued importance of maintaining and supporting a critical voice within socially engaged art.Contributors include: Jen Delos Reyes, Kerry Morrison, R.M. Sánchez-Camus, Claire Mead, They Are Here, Harvey Dimond, Lauren Velvick, Les Monaghan and Joe Cotgrave.

In our monthly What's On Guide we share events from our Axis Directory members that are happening in September.
